San Diego Superior Court Judge K. Michael Kirkman accepted the Dec. 4 (see) jury’s recommendation and sentenced Derlyn Ray Threats to the death penalty. Threats, 29, was found guilty in November of 1st-degree murder with special circumstances in the September 1, 2005 slaying of Carolyn Neville, 24, during a burglary.(source: San Diego Union-Tribune, NBCSanDiego.com, 19/08/2010)
