Riverside County Superior Court Judge Jean P. Leonard sentenced Roman Aldana to death for the Sept. 9, 2006 murder of Kayla Wood, 16. A jury made the recommendation on April 28 (see). Authorities say Aldana, 23, , hispanic, ordered the boys to kill Wood because he feared she was pregnant. One boy, now 18, was sentenced earlier this year to 29 years to life in prison.
