USA - California. A jury sentenced Alberto Alvarez to death

15 January 2010 :

A San Mateo County jury today recommended that Alberto Alvarez, 26, hispanic, receive the death penalty for murdering police Officer Richard May on Jan. 7, 2006. San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Craig Parsons will formally sentence Alvarez on Feb. 2.
