A jury in El Dorado County recommended the death penalty today for David Zanon. Zanon was convicted in August for the July 31, 2007 murder of California Highway Patrol Officer Scott Russell, 46, who died after being struck by Zanon's car during a high-speed chase.(source: Redding Record Searchlight, KCRA News, 16/09/2010)
