IRAN: TWO PRISONERS HANGED AT ORUMIYEH CENTRAL PRISON
Kurdistan Human Rights Network has been informed that the death sentences of two prisoners, Asad Keshavarz and Amin Safarkesh, were carried out in Orumiyeh Central Prison on 20 July 2020.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network has been informed that the death sentences of two prisoners, Asad Keshavarz and Amin Safarkesh, were carried out in Orumiyeh Central Prison on 20 July 2020.
The two prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on 19 July with another prisoner ‘Baitullah Motalebi’. Motalebi has been returned to the Counselling Ward after persuading “blood owners (Oliya-e-dam)” to give him time for paying the blood money (diyat).
The three prisoners had previously been arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to retaliation (execution).
