At least two death row prisoners were hanged in District Jail in Sialkot. According to details, suspects Zafar Iqbal and Khalid gunned down as many as two people in Sialkot’s Malkay area in 1996 and were sent to jail by the court.
The suspects also approached the higher authorities for mercy pleas which were rejected every time. The dead bodies of the prisoners were handed over to their families.
