IRAN: EIGHT MORE PRISONERS HANGED IN BIRJAND AND YAZD
June 19, 2014: Eight prisoners were executed in two Iranian prisons. Five of them were executed on charge of drug trafficking in the Central Prison of Birjand, reported the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA). One of them, identified as Molavi Rahimollah, was from Afghanistan and he had been serving two years in prison before execution. Another three inmates were hanged secretly in Yazd, according to the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). (Sources: NCRI and HRANA, 23/06/2014)
