PAKISTAN: DEATH SENTENCE COMMUTED
February 8, 2014: In Pakistan, the Sindh High Court (SHC) dismissed the appeal of a former police constable against his conviction in a murder case, but commuted his death sentence to life imprisonment. Mohammad Aslam was sentenced to death by the trial court for murdering his wife in June 2000.
