SAUDI ARABIA. MAN EXECUTED FOR MURDER

Saudi Arabia executed Saudi national Saeed al-Qahtani in the southern town of Khamis Mushayt. He had been convicted of killing Mohammad al-Zahrani with a single rifle shot following an argument. Qahtani's execution marked a resumption after a pause for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
