UAE: PAKISTANI MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

A 30-year-old Pakistani man in Dubai (UAE) was sentenced to death for trafficking four kilogrammes of heroin, a media report said.
The man, identified only by his initials W A, was found guilty of possessing and trafficking heroin by Dubai Court of First Instance.
He was arrested in a sting operation when a police officer posed as a prospective buyer of the drugs for 100,000 dirhams (USD 27,000).
The heroin was found inside a laptop bag, according to the Gulf News.
Court records said the man smuggled the heroin inside four elastic bandages he wore on his legs when he arrived in Sharjah.
