According to Iran Human Rights, a man was executed at Shiraz Central Prison in the early hours of April 12. His identity has been established as Arsalan Zare, who was around 45 years old and had been sentenced for murder. “Arsalan Zare was a farmer before being arrested and had been in prison for nearly 15 years,” an informed source told IHR. At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
