Akbar Hassanlou executed in Zanjan on May 29.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man executed in Zanjan Central Prison on 29 May 2022. His identity has been established as 40-year-old Akbar Hassanlou, from Hashtroud, who was sentenced for murder.
A source told Iran Human Rights: “Akbar Hassanlou had been behind bars for around four years and was a construction worker prior to arrest.” At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
