3 men executed at Gohardasht Prison on March 16.
At dawn on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, three prisoners, Gholam Ali Khaurgir (Behnam Gholam-Ali), Abbas Khaurgir (Khargir), and Mohsen Jandaghi (Jahangiri), were executed at Gohardasht Prison (aka Rajaishahr) on murder charges.
In its report on the execution of the three prisoners, IHR wrote: “These three prisoners were sentenced to death on murder charges during armed robbery sharing a case and have been in prison for 20 years.”
Gholam Ali and Abbas Khaurgir are said to be brothers.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the number of executions in Gohardasht on this day was more than three.
