On December 18, 2008 the Solomon Islands voted against the Resolution on a Moratorium on the Use of the Death Penalty at the UN General Assembly.
On December 20, 2012 and on December 18, 2014,, Solomon Islands abstained on the Resolution on a Moratorium on the Use of the Death Penalty at the UN General Assembly.
On December 19, 2016, Solomon Island voted in favor of the Resolution on a Moratorium.
