October 11, 2021: Mohammad Latifi and Unknown Man Executed in Kermanshah on October 11
At least 2 prisoners sentenced to qisas (retribution-in-kind) for murder were executed in Kermanshah Central Prison. According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, 2 men were executed on murder charges on the morning of October 11. The identity of one of the men has been established as 23-year-old Mohammad Latifi. The identity of the second executed man has not been established at the time of writing but he was an Islamabad native and was sentenced to qisas for murder. According to local sources, the number of people executed that day is likely to be higher. At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
